Friday night delights! Elite XT

So you’ve been training has as can be in order to meet whatever set goals you may currently have. You’ve been strict and your looking to let loose and have a fun cheat meal. Well tonight’s that night, and have no regrets.

The mental plateaus associated with training/ dieting can often be more grueling than the workouts themselves.

Focus on enjoying your proteins first and make sure you pair fat with high carbs as it will aid in the slowing of the sugar conversion to glucose, in turn helping keep your blood sugars down.

You earned it now don’t forget to finish it off with a great tasting before bed shake.

My personal favorite before bed snack uses ELITE XT  by Dymatize as it’s a slow digesting blend of over 20g of protein feeds your muscles over 12hrs, and mixes with great consistency for a shake. It’s a great option for Friday night treats, or just a general all around good protein.

For a large shake:

  • 2 cups of ice
  • 6 oz-10oz of water depending on desired thickness
  • 2 scoops of ELITE XT (Vanilla or Rich chocolate are my go to’s)
  • 1/2 cup blueberries or strawberries
  • For an extra bite I like to add 1tbsp of cinnamon
  • If looking for added night carbs, 1/4 cup of oatmeal
  • If looking for a small size cut the servings in half
  • Blend ingredients together in a high speed blender(I use a nutri-bullet and love it)
