Make your own delicous kale chips!

delicious kale chips

Like potato chips, you can not stop after having just one. These baked kale chips are low in calories and highly nutritious. Takes only a few minutes to make. Great for parties too.

Step 1 : Preparing the kale
Get rid of the stems
We don’t want stems because we are not making kale fries :-)
Wash the kale and dry them using salad spinner.
Leave them out in room temperature to dry for 1 hour.

Step 2 : Mix the Seasoning and Sprinkle
Mix the following secret recipe seasoning:

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon fine ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon nutritional yeast (this is optional – but it is the secret ingredient)
  • 1 tablespoon of oil (preferably olive oil)

In a large bowl mix in the seasoning into the kale.

Step 3 : Bake It!
Preheat your oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit.
Get your largest baking pans and spread out the kale all over the pan. The secret here is space. Don’t crowd the pan, use second pan if you need to.
Set your oven to bake at 300 degrees for about 25 min or until the kale is crispy and slightly brown.
Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes before consuming.
Have a taste test and sprinkle more sea salt if you need.
