AminoXcel By BCS LABS BCS Labs is excited to release what we believe is the strongest and most effective Branch Chain Amino Acid (BCAA) formula on the market today, Amino Xcel! The reason we believe this is simple, we use the clinically validated doses of several compounds in Amino Xcel for sports performance! Let’s take a look at these compounds and their attributes: Branch Chain Amino Acids (BCAA) Branched Chain Amino Acids are the building blocks of muscle mass and size. They are metabolized directly in the muscle and may improve nitrogen retention by sparing other amino acid groups for repair and rebuilding. The Branched Chain Amino Acids (BCAA’s) are essential in that the body cannot make them from other compounds. In recent times, these amino acids have been investigated for their potential anti-catabolic (preventing muscle breakdown) and anabolic (muscle building) effects. Branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) provide metabolic energy while you train. While BCAAs play an important role in muscle growth, the amino acid L-Leucine has been shown to play the most critical role in stimulating muscle protein synthesis through multiple mechanisms of action, including mTor and P13K stimulation (protein synthesis regulators). alpha-hydroxy-isocaproic acid (HICA) We are very excited about this compound as it shows great potential! HICA is a metabolite of the Branched Chain Amino Acid L-Leucine, which helps to support lean mass and strength gains.* According to the clinical and experimental studies, HICA can also be considered as an anti-catabolic substance.* Amino Xcel uses the clinically studied dose of HICA (per 2 scoops) and when taken by weight training athletes, it helps to support an increase in muscle and decrease training-induced muscle soreness.* Magnesium Glycyl Glutamine Chelate Magnesium Glycyl Glutamine chelate is the only stabilized Glutamine in the world which is patented by Albion Minerals. L-Glutamine is an amino acid that serves as a necessary building block for protein in the body. It is also the amino acid lost in the greatest quantity during strenuous exercise. In fact, countless research has shown that L-Glutamine is consistently deficient in athletes during and after exercise sessions. In addition, people suffering from illness and disease have been shown to be deficient in L-Glutamine, which is essential for the body to repair itself. When an individual is in a catabolic state due to strenuous physical activity, illness, injury or nutritional imbalances, L-Glutamine homeostasis can be compromised. Supplemental L-Glutamine is required to restore plasma L-Glutamine levels, protect L-Glutamine stores, and help conserve lean muscle mass. It is also important to point out that Magnesium is a part of what makes up Magnesium Glycyl Glutamine Chelate and is one of the most essential minerals that the body uses everyday. It is needed for protein and fatty acid formation, activating B vitamins, forming ATP, and much more! * L-Carnitine L-Tartrate (LCLT) L-Carnitine is formed from the amino acids L-lysine and L-methionine in the body for the purposes of fatty acid metabolism. L-Carnitine shuttles fats from the watery outer region of cells into mitochondria, where both fats and glucose are broken down to make ATP. Once fatty acids are transported to the mitochondria (the powerhouse centers of cells responsible for energy production) they are converted to usable forms of energy. The L-Tartrate version of L-Carnitine has been suggested to be superior to L-Carnitine for supporting muscle recovery and promoting a hormonal balance.* Two recent studies have found that L-Carnitine L-Tartrate (2-3 grams daily for 3 weeks) decreased the incidence of muscle damage with high-repetition weight training. The same group showed that supplementation of 2 grams of L-Carnitine L-Tartrate per day for three weeks caused an increase in the concentration of androgen receptors. L-Taurine As a non-essential amino acid, L-Taurine is one of the most abundant amino acids in the body which can be found in the central nervous system, white blood cells, the brain and skeletal muscles. L-Taurine can also be considered a conditionally essential amino acid as during times of extreme physical exhaustion the body does not produce enough and supplementation is required. It can help improve exercise performance and body composition.* Taurine also draws water in muscle cells and acts as a cell volumizer which in turn draws additional nutrients for recovery and growth. Malic Acid Malic acid may reduce the amount of energy depletion that occurs in the skeletal muscles during exercise. Malic acid plays a role in your body’s citric acid cycle, which is the energy-producing metabolic pathway required during movement or any type of intense exercise. When Malic acid levels in the muscle become depleted, physical exhaustion may occur which decreases your ability to continue to produce energy during exercise. Malic acid supplementation may prolong your body’s ability to produce energy during physical activity and reduce the onset of fatigue.* Vitamin B6 (as Pyridoxal-5-Phosphate/P5P) Vitamin B6 enhances amino acid metabolism which is why it is included in Amino Xcel. We didn’t take a shortcut with the lesser and substantionally cheaper Pyridoxine HCI like most companies do. Instead we chose Pyridoxal-5-Phosphate (aka P5P), which is the main biologically active form of Vitamin B6 and far superior to any other forms of Vitamin B6 on the nutraceutical market.* Electrolytes Amino Xcel also ultilizes an electrolyte blend which includes the patented Calci-K (Calcium/Potassium/Phosphorus Complex), Sodium Bicarbonate, and Magnesium. This will help you to train harder, decrease cramping, and increase stamina.* Directions: As a dietary supplement, mix one (1) serving of Amino Xcel with 8-10 fluid oz. of water. Amino Xcel can be consumed before training, between meals, while training, and post workout to boost your amino acid intake.
